Hey guys. How are you guys doing at school or at work?? Tiring or having fun?? Well when it’s time to rest, better take opportunity to rest. Anyways, sorry for letting you guys wait long enough for this chapter. I’m really sorry. Please understand because I’m only using this time to update my blog as today is public holiday. After the introduction, Tina brought me to my room. It was right at the end, beside hers. When i opened the room, the walls are painted ocean blue, with a classy ceiling light, there’s a walk-in closet, big bathroom with a bathtub for two to three users and my bed! My bed was queen-sized with a rectangular bed frame but the sides are rounded and the bed sheets are in light blue colour including my blanket. There’s also 2 side tables with each a lamp. The most interesting part is that i’ve got a balcony!! I quickly rushed to the balcony and saw a small bench, a mini refrigerator and some carnations planted in pots near the walls. Did i mention that i love carnations to the max?! Outside the balcony i could see many tall trees beside my balcony and my neighbour’s balcony. Just wondering who’s living just opposite me. There’s a door to lock the balcony if i’ve switched on air-conditioner, and 2 white curtains at the sides. Soon, Tina left the door and closed the door to let me unpacked my luggage.
“Hey!” someone shouted, it was near the balcony. I pretended to ignore until the someone speaks again. “Hey!” I got up and went to the balcony just to realise that my balcony and that person’s balcony was just less than 4 metres away. A guy who was shirtless, revealing his muscles at the arms and his firm eight packs were staring at me. He has got beautiful green eyes, no pimples nor freckles on his face, pale pink lips and white neat polished teeth smiling at me. I could not take my eyes away from his beautifully shaped body until he decided to break the silence.
“Like what you’ve seen?”
“Is that how charming guys always start saying after showing his body to a girl he wants to befriend?” “Hmm, i think so. By the way, hi.”
“Hi. Can i help you with something?” I asked.
“You’re Tina’s adopted sister?”
“Yeah and how do you know her?”
“First, we’re neighbours. Second she’s my brother’s girlfriend.”
“Your brother is?”
“James Meyer.”
“And you are?”
“Jacob Meyer.”
“Oh well then how old are you?”
“Ain’t you gonna tell me your name?”
“Alice.”
“I’m 17.”
“Me too.”
“You’re also studying at Meadows High School?”
“Yeah.”
Before i could carried on, Tina knocked softly on my door, seeking permission to come in. When she found out that i was talking to Jacob, she immediately said, “ Hi Jacob, hooking up my sister already?”
Before i could even say something, he responded, “Just introducing ourselves. No harm intended.”
“Alright, then you wanna join us for dinner?” she asked politely.
“Nah, i’m fine. There’s match today.” He replied a ‘bye’ before walking away.
“Hey sister, what match is he talkin’ about?” I asked curiously.
“Call me Tina, don’t call me sister because i’m feeling old.” She said teasingly.
“Alright, Tina, what match is he talking about?”
“He’s in basketball team of Meadows. He’s the captain. Wait a minute, are you interested in him? Don't be, he's a well-known player.”
“Oh. Nah, no worries, i don't like him. By the way, you’re dating with his brother, James?”
“Yup, is that what Jacob told you"
"Yes."
"James is 18 too. He’s the captain of soccer in Meadows. By the way, tomorrow you’ll be starting school. I’ll give you a ride tomorrow since you haven’t gotten your car. ”
“I’ve a car?”
“Yes Alice, Mom and Dad had been planning stuffs for you way before they went to pick you up.”
“Are you gonna be jealous?” I asked in a timid voice.
“What for? That they’re good to you? No worries, i’m not petty. They sure will treat both sisters well.” She smiled then went forward to hug me.
"Why are you treating me so good?" I asked.
"Because we're sisters now." She replied.
“We’re gonna be the best sisters forever, right?” She continued.
“Yes, Tina. Thanks for accepting me as your sister.”
“What! You think i wouldn’t?” she sound offended as she pulled away.
“Because Cinderella’s step-sisters don’t like her, thus they ill-treated her.”
“Alice, we’re not in fairytales. Besides you’re so sweet, how can i not like you?”
I smiled as i pulled her in for another bear hug. I'm sure that i'm gonna love her even though the mystery hasn't solved yet.
